Locum Speech-Language Pathologist (Home-Based)

Location: Kuala Lumpur & Selangor (Home-based sessions)
Engagement Type: Locum / Contract (Session-based)

We are seeking a qualified Speech-Language Pathologist (Locum) to join our team. This is a flexible, session-based engagement where you will provide speech and language therapy sessions to children in their home environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality speech and language therapy for children with developmental and communication challenges.
  • Work closely with families to set therapy goals and track progress.
  • Maintain accurate and timely professional documentation and session notes.
  • Communicate regularly with Thrive Tots’ management team regarding therapy plans, progress, and updates.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Speech Therapy, Speech Science, or related field.
  • Must be registered under the Malaysian Allied Health Professions Council, or able to provide proof that registration is in progress.
  • Minimum 2 years experience working with children (preferred).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Own transport (sessions take place at clients’ homes).

Locum Early Childhood Educator / Therapist (Home-Based)

Location: Kuala Lumpur & Selangor (Home-based sessions)
Engagement Type: Locum / Contract (Session-based)

Thrive Tots is expanding our multidisciplinary team and is currently looking to engage an Early Childhood Educator / Therapist, preferably with experience working with children with additional or special needs.

This role is ideal for professionals who are passionate about early intervention and child development.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver structured, play-based intervention or educational sessions for young children (typically ages 2-7)
  • Support children with developmental delays, autism spectrum conditions, learning difficulties, or behavioural challenges.
  • Implement individualised goals in collaboration with supervising therapists and the Thrive Tots team.
  • Coach and guide parents or caregivers during sessions to support carryover at home.
  • Maintain accurate and timely professional documentation and session notes.

Requirements:

  • Qualification or relevant training in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, Psychology, Therapy, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience working with children, preferably children with special needs (e.g. autism, developmental delay, ADHD, speech or sensory challenges).
  • Exposure to early intervention approaches (e.g. play-based intervention, ABA-informed strategies, developmental frameworks).
  • Own transport and flexibility to travel within Kuala Lumpur and Selangor.
